gracious.
ridiculous that nothing has been posted by me, on here, for over a month.
and nearly a month before that!
well, there is KINDA good reason.
not really.
but kinda.
many visitors coming into town including my brother that i haven't seen since May and cousin that i haven't seen for almost a year and a half, whilst also leaving the job i hated, whilst also it being 3 holidays within a 6.2 week period.
oh, and the powercord to my now very evidently ancient Powerbook G4 dying, so there was a whole week and a half or so that i couldn't even get on my computer and was kinda freaked out about losing things i had not yet backed up.
a LITTLE pre-occupied.
which is not to say, in any form or fashion, that there haven't been things i've wanted to talk about, share, discuss.
just not enough time to really put together a real post.
but, since it kept me from posting ANYthing, i should have followed the advice given by Gary Ryan Blair:
"Success in any endeavor does not happen by accident. Rather it's the result of deliberate decisions, conscious effort & immense persistence."
and i have not been successful since re-starting this blog, as i haven't had the immense persistence part.
gotta get this blog added to the list of things i'm immensely persistent about!
so here are some of the things i've been doing, while not posting on here:
books i've been reading:
The Idea Writers
A River Runs Through It
The Great Divorce
CA Advertising Annual Nov/Dec 2010
Archive
CMYK
The Ragamuffin Gospel
sites i've enjoyed frequenting:
things i've been viewing:
saw the newly, re-touring Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast, in El Paso:
saw Tron:Legacy on opening night (which was AH-MAY-ZEENG. have seen it again since, and it was just as good) with my entire family and cousin, who flew down JUST for the opening:
and, ever since, have only had one thing playing in my car ... the Daft Punk soundtrack to T:L (who were IN the movie, way cool):
here is their official video that harkens to the the original 1982 Tron:
i also saw The Black Swan. truly one of the most impressively, powerful, disturbing movies i've ever had the innate pleasure to watch and experience:
