so, it's halloween.
if you didn't have a calendar, you'd probably have thought it was yesterday.
or the day before that.
or even the day before that.
i was talking with my brother Ben the other day about what we were gonna do for Halloween, and he proposed a sentiment that i ultimately agree with about most holidays, but haven't really felt for Halloween until recent years.
that the parties associated with Halloween are always a let down.
i feel this about New Years, not so much Halloween.
but it does always seem like it will be more fun than it ends up being.
only really the last three years, just because i don't have as many friends where i've been living as i used to ...
that aside, i do think it's kinda silly and fun how much people love to dress up!
or awesome.
or sad.
there are several thoughts on the matter, by several people.
and i certainly could, and might sometime later, expound upon the reasons why, especially in America, people are so encapsulated with dressing up as something that they aren't.
or something that they'd "never dress like."
people living day-to-day lives that they hate, to earn money, to buy things they don't need, to fill houses that are too big, to impress people that they don't care about ...
it goes on and on!
anyway, back to it being Halloween!
i've seen more than a few awesome costumes in my lifetime.
a green army man, complete with stand.
a more than authentic Michael Jackson.
a growth mushroom from Super Mario Bros.
but these take the cake.
esp. because it's Coca-Cola.
please to enjoy.
